If you open your dresser drawer and look on the end, you will probably see dovetail joints.
This type of joint is very strong. Most guitar makers also use this dovetail joint
to hold on guitar necks to the guitar bodies because of its strength. If you had a cross
section of your guitar, you would see a joint very similar to the one used in your dresser
drawer.
