Gman,
Thanks for taking the time to put together your terrific website. I've
just
spent 1/2 hour looking at every nook & cranny.
As a singer/songwriter I really enjoy using alternate tunings for that
"different" sound they give, but I'm a lazy tuner. I ended up
purchasing a
Shubb partial capo that covers the 3rd, 4th & 5th strings only. It
allows
for some really neat sounds without taking time to retune the strings.
Some
minor tweaking might be needed if the guitar's intonation is not
perfect, but
it's still easier than trying to tune and chat (on stage) between
songs. I'm
a big fan of Christopher Williams and I noticed his partial capo during
a
coffeehouse performance. It has opened a whole new world for me.
I also use a modified Dunlop (cut off so the capo only covers the 3rd,
4th,
5th & 6t strings) that works really well. And I purchased a Keyser
Drop D
capo.
Thanks again for all your tips,
Todd C. Walker
